BREAKING: Michigan State Football Reveals All-Black Uniform Combination

Fans and players have been begging for it for years, and the Spartans will don an all-black look this fall!

Michigan State football has been teasing a huge reveal on July 28 for weeks, and we finally got an official reveal of what the buzz was all about tonight during a special event on campus called "Thy Shadows".

During the event, the Spartans' athletic department showed off a brand new all-black combination dubbed the 'Shadow' uniform.

Fans and Spartan players have been clamoring for an all-black combination for years. We've seen schools across the country add an all-black alternate to their rotation, and it was only a matter of time before Michigan State followed suit.

Early thoughts? Nike and Michigan State's designers knocked this one out of the park.

To be honest, I'm a traditionalist when it comes to college uniforms and color schemes, and I'm usually opposed to schools who don't have black in their color scheme wearing all-black uniforms. That being said, this new look does an excellent job of incorporating traditional, Michigan State features with the new uniforms. There's not much to argue about here. These look great.
