Injury Report: Michigan State lists 16 players 'Out' vs Indiana

The Spartans' roster has been ravished by injuries again this season, and MSU will be shorthanded this afternoon in Bloomington...

Michigan State remains one of the most injury-prone football programs in the country, with nearly two dozen players sidelined if you include the Spartans who have been lost for the season.

As MSU prepares for kickoff against Indiana, 16 players have been ruled 'Out' for today's game, including starting wide receiver Tre Mosley, starting cornerback Dillon Tatum and starting offensive guard Geno VanDeMark. Additionally, Michigan State continues to be without cornerback Charles Brantley, who began the year as a starter and has been sidelined since suffering a injury in Week 3 against Washington. Tight end Brennan Parachek, who has seen his role increase significantly in recent weeks, is listed as 'Questionable'.

Former starting quarterback Noah Kim, who was benched in favor of redshirt freshman Katin Houser in Week 7 against Rutgers, remains out as well with an undisclosed injury. Kim has been unavailable for the past three weeks, which leaves the Spartans with walk-on Andrew Schorfhaar as the backup to Houser. True freshman Sam Leavitt will sit out the remainder of the season to preserve his redshirt, and he did not travel with the team to Bloomington.

Other players ruled 'Out' today for Michigan State include wide receiver Jaron Glover, linebacker Darius Snow, defensive end Bai Jobe, safeties Khalil Majeed, Khary Crump and Semar Melvin, cornerback Marqui Lowery, defensive tackles Maverick Hansen, Jarrett Jackson and Dre Butler, and walk-on defensive back Brandon Lewis.

Previous Michigan State players who have been listed 'Out' for the season include running back Jalen Berger, linebacker Jacoby Windmon, safety Armorion Smith, defensive tackle Alex VanSumeren, running back Jaelon Barbarin and offensive linemen Stanton Ramil and Gavin Broscious.

As for positive news, defensive end Khris Bogle returns after being 'Out' last week against Ohio State. Tailback Davion Primm is also not listed on the availability report, after being sidelined for multiple weeks. Left tackle Brandon Baldwin has a clean bill of health as well.
