Michigan State Football kicks off its 2023 season by hosting Central Michigan at Spartan Stadium on Friday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. EST and airing on FS1.

MSU head coach Mel Tucker previewed the game against the Chippewas at his weekly press conference on Monday, discussing a variety of topics including the Spartans' starting quarterback, an increased confidence in Michigan State's run game and the challenge that Central Michigan will present.
