Noah Kim Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

Michigan State quarterback Noah Kim was recognized by the Big Ten Conference following a stellar performance vs. Richmond

Michigan State quarterback Noah Kim has been named the Big Ten Conference's "Offensive Player of the Week" following an outstanding performance in the Spartans' 45-14 win over Richmond.

Against the Spiders, Kim threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns while completing an impressive 18-of-22 pass attempts (81.8%). After opening the game just 1-for-5 passing, Kim completed 17 consecutive throws to finish his day.

Kim had a solid performance in Michigan State's season-opener against Central Michigan, completing 18-of-31 attempts for 279 yards and two touchdowns. The redshirt junior build upon that performance in Week 2, and seems to have found comfortability in his role as the Spartans' starting quarterback.

"I thought our performance was better," Kim said of MSU's offense as a whole after Richmond. "I thought we showed some improvement, and that was one of the key things we wanted to focus on in practice this past week."

Through two weeks, Kim leads the Big Ten in passing yards (571), yards per pass attempt (10.8) and is tied with Michigan's J.J. McCarthy for most passing touchdowns (5). Kim also ranks second behind McCarthy in passer rating (189.6).
