LOOK: Michigan State honors seniors, brings back fan favorite helmet logo
The 2022 college football season is winding to a close, and Michigan State will honor its seniors this Saturday for the final home game of their collegiate careers.
The Spartans will celebrate "Senior Day" at Spartan Stadium when they welcome the Indiana Hoosiers, and MSU has chosen a fan favorite helmet logo to wear in the final game in 'The Woodshed'.
On Thursday, Michigan State revealed that they will wear the 'Gruff Sparty' helmet logo against the Hoosiers. The logo will be worn on green helmets, and the Spartans will also wear their green jerseys and green pants.
With an 80 percent chance for snow on Saturday, the 'All-Green' look should really stand out for MSU.
Typically, the program selects one player to be featured in their weekly 'uniform reveal' video on Twitter. However, Michigan State featured all of their seniors in the video this week ahead of their final home game.
Michigan State debuted the 'Gruff Sparty' helmet logo in 2020 in a road game against Penn State. However, it looks like the logos worn this year are enlarged compared to the ones from two years ago. That's an improvement, in my opinion.
The Spartans are one win away from bowl eligibility, and they would certainly like to clinch that this week against one of the worst teams in the Big Ten. Indiana is 3-7 overall and 1-6 in conference play this season.
Michigan State will conclude its regular season with a road trip to No. 11 Penn State next week.
