Michigan State University tight end Josiah Price, who was just announced as a nominee for the 25th AnniversaryAllstate AFCA Good Works Team® -- one of the most prestigious off-the-field honors in college football. For a quarter-century, the Good Works Team® award has recognized a select group of student-athletes who have made a commitment to service and enriching the lives of others.
Price boasts an impressive resume of accomplishments, including:
- Representing Spartan football on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and serving as the SAAC community outreach committee chair
- Being named to the 2015 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, the watch list for the 2015 Wuerffel Trophy, which awards for community service combined with athletic and academic achievement, and winning the 2016 Gwendolyn Norrell Community Service & Leadership Award at the MSU Academic Excellence Gala
- Proudly supporting his younger brother, Barak, who suffers from hypotonic cerebral palsy
- Serving his both his local community through the Ingham County Child Benefit Fund, DARE graduations and March is Reading Month and those abroad by traveling to South Africa in 2013 for a mission trip
Members of the 25th Anniversary Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® will join an elite group of past recipients of the award including Super Bowl champion quarterbacks, Peyton and Eli Manning and Heisman Trophy winning quarterbacks Robert Griffin III and Tim Tebow.
