The State of Michigan State Football Wisconsin Badgers Week
East Lansing, MI
Entering into last week's matchup in Columbus with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan State Spartan head coach Mark Dantonio declared that the game was a, "Measuring stick" on the state of the Michigan State Football program. After getting blown out 34-10, what does that measure sticks say now?
Spartan Nation senior writer Jon Schopp joins us for his weekly visit talking about the state of Michigan State Football and we discuss that topic. With the Spartans next two games against top ten teams (this weekend in Madison against Wisconsin & after the bye week the Penn State Nittany Lions in East Lansing) what are the next two games? Are they truth-tellers?
Mark Dantonio said when he came to Michigan State as the head man that each and every season would be weighed to see if they competed for a Big Ten title when judging a good campaign. Michigan State is now 4-2 and a loss in the next two would make the Spartans a mediocre 4-4 and NOT competitive for a Big Ten title.
So what is the real deal? What is the problem with the offense? Why did the defense struggle?
