Count me in as a supporter of Coach Hope. He is a gentleman, 100% football coach, and he treats his players great. If you don’t like Danny Hope, then you have personal issues. Can he do it in West Lafayette? If anyone can, it is him.
They were poised for a great season last year, but injuries sidetracked that. The silver lining is that a lot of players have gotten reps, and although they are young, they are talented. I think they are close against Notre Dame and I wouldn’t be shocked if they get the win. Because they are so young I gave the edge to the Irish, but by the slightest of margins. IF the Boilers upset Notre Dame I think two weeks later they will head to Happy Valley and upset the Lions. IF!
If the Boilers can find a defense they will be tough. In a sport whose off season has been rattled with scandals and problems, Coach Hope is an example of what is right and will have his Boilers Bowling for the first time since 2007.
