Top Transfer Forward Frankie Fidler Visits Michigan State

The Michigan State Spartans continue to target some of the top players in the transfer portal this season. One player that the Spartans have their eyes on is Nebraska-Omaha forward Frankie Fidler.
Fidler entered the transfer portal March 18, per 247Sports. He is a four-star rated transfer with a 93 grade -- the No. 54 overall transfer and the No. 11 small forward.
Last season, Fidler averaged 20.1 points, 2.6 assists and 6.3 rebounds in 33 games. He shot 45.2% from the floor and 35.6 percent from beyond the arc. Fidler was named first-team All-Summit conference.
As a sophomore, he averaged 14.7 points per game and scored a season-high 33 points against St. Thomas. Fidler was named second-team All-Summit conference for that season.
Fidler attended Bellevue West High School, where he averaged 21.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a senior, earning first-team All-Nebraska recognition by the Omaha World-Herald and a first-team Super State selection by the Lincoln Journal Star. As a junior, he led his team to a 2020 Class A state championship.
Fidler visited East Lansing on Thursday and took to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Fidler visited a Creighton practice on March 25. He then visited his home-state Cornhuskers on March 28, per 247Sports. Fidler has also visited Wisconsin.
Last season, Michigan State finished 192nd in college basketball when it came to scoring offense and 147th in effective field goal percentage. Michigan State did shoot well as a team from the 3-point line -- a collective 36.26 percent -- finishing 51st. Fidler's scoring touch and six-foot-seven frame could be a big addition to the Spartans.
Michigan State was Fidler's latest visit.
Fidler was originally set to make his decision on 1620 The Zone (Omaha) on Monday, but the announcement has been delayed, according to AM-1620.
The Michigan State Spartan Football Spring Green and White Game (Spring Showcase) will be held at the High Cathedral of the Spartan Nation, Spartan Stadium, on April 20, 2024, at 2 p.m.
