MICHIGAN STATE WOMEN'S SOCCER REVEALS 2018 SCHEDULE
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women’s soccer head soccer coach Tom Saxton announced their 2018 schedule Wednesday. In the upcoming season, the women will host 10 out of their 18 regular-season games.
The Spartans will open the season on Aug. 9 in an exhibition at Toledo followed by four- consecutive home games starting with an exhibition against Central Michigan on Aug. 11 at 7 p.m.
On Aug. 17, MSU will host Southern Utah in the first game of the season at 7 p.m., marking the second year the soccer program will play under the lights at DeMartin Stadium. Michigan State will the host Boston University on Aug. 17 and UW Green Bay on Aug. 23. To close out the month of August, MSU will travel to Seattle, Washington for the Husky/NIKE Invitational, facing Portland on Aug. 30 and Washington on Sept. 2.
The Spartans return to the friendly confines of DeMartin Stadium for another pair of games against Oakland on Sept. 6 and Colorado on Sept. 9.
MSU will open Big Ten play on the road at Purdue on Sept. 13 and then travel to Indiana on Sept. 16. The Spartans face Minnesota on Sept. 20 and Wisconsin on Sept. 23 for their first Big Ten home games.
The women will head out to Illinois on Sept. 29, and then start the month of October in East Lansing to play Penn State on Oct. 5 and Ohio State on Oct. 7. Hitting the road again, MSU’s first stop will be at Iowa on Oct. 12, then at Nebraska on Oct. 14.
The Spartans’ last home game will take place on Oct. 18 against Rutgers.
