Michigan State Basketball: All-time 3-Point Leaders
The game of basketball has changed throughout its existence; while being dominated by big men at one point, guard play has taken over.
Fans are always going to be in awe of some players' ability to dunk the ball hard enough to shake the entire arena, but now more than ever, kids growing up around basketball want to shoot three-pointers.
It's a trend that began with Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, which trickled down to all facets of the game.
Michigan State has seen its fair share of shooters pass through the Breslin Center in recent years, including Bryn Forbes, Cassius Winston, Travis Trice, and Denzel Valentine.
However, no one was able to dethrone the Spartan leader in career three-pointers, Shawn Respert.
From 1990-95, Respert made 331 field-goals from deep and became the program's scoring leader, another record yet to be broken.
Former Spartan Chris Hill is in second place with 306 made three-pointers, but he's the closest any player has come to usurping Respert as the next leading scorer from beyond the three-point line is Drew Neitzel with 273 (58 less than Respert).
