Huge lines at The Barn to see Gophers take on Caitlin Clark's Iowa

The U is expecting a sellout for tonight's Gophers game against the Hawkeyes.

Temperatures sitting in the teens Wednesday didn't tamper the anticipation of seeing Caitlin Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes at Willaims Arena.

Some fans told WCCO they lined up outside the Barn as early as 3:15 p.m. Wednesday to secure tickets for the general admission students section for the Gophers' game against the Hawkeyes.

The University of Minnesota is expecting a sellout for the 8 p.m. tip off.

Clark's No. 6 Hawkeyes have been drawing sellouts wherever they go, playing in front of fewer than 12,000 fans just five times this season.

This won't be the only time Minnesota basketball fans can see Clark in person. The Big Ten Women's Basketball tournament takes place March 6-10 at Target Center.
