The Gophers may have struck gold in the transfer portal Sunday night as Max Brosmer, the leading passer at New Hampshire in the FCS this season, announced his commitment to play for P.J. Fleck at the University of Minnesota.

"After talking with my family, I have decided to commit to The University of Minnesota. I want to thank the entire Gopher coaching staff and team for welcoming me into their program. Let's rock!" Brosmer wrote in his announcement Sunday night.

The 6-foot-2 quarterback led the FCS with 3,459 passing yards with 29 touchdowns and only six interceptions this season. He also had five rushing touchdowns.

Brosmer reportedly made a visit to the University of Minnesota on Saturday, at which point Fleck was in Arkansas watching 2024 quarterback commit Drake Lindsey lead his high school to a state championship while setting an Arkansas record with 52 touchdown passes this season.

A unnamed coach told The Athletic that Brosmer has "great poise, great anticipation and accuracy," adding that he is "extremely smart" and "hard to catch him off guard."

On3 ranks Brosmer as the ninth-best quarterback in the transfer portal

This is a developing story.
