Gophers get commitments from Fresno QB Logan Fife, TCU DB Jai'Onte McMillan
The Minnesota Golden Gophers have two new commitments in what has been a busy offseason for P.J. Fleck's team.
After a period of tumult at quarterback after Athan Kaliakmanis' decision to transfer, the Gophers continue to bolster the department following the commitment of Logan Fife from Fresno State.
He joins a quarterback room that is set to be led by New Hampshire transfer Max Bromser, and will also include freshman Drake Lindsey.
During his three years at Fresno State, Fife appeared in 14 games including six as a starter, throwing for 1,585 yards, six touchdowns and nine interceptions.
He's one of two Gopher commitments who announced on Sunday, with the other being Jai'Onte McMillan, a defensive back who is transferring from TCU.
The 5'11", 190 lb. back made 26 appearances for TCU mostly on special teams in the past two years, recording one interception.
