Gophers offer New Mexico State receiver Trent Hudson

Junior caught 36 passes for 571 yards and 10 TDs in 2023.

New Mexico State transfer receiver Trent Hudson has received an offer from the Gophers football team, he announced on social media on Tuesday.

Hudson caught 36 passes for 571 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior for the Aggies in 2023. He previously played at a junior college, Trinity Valley Community College, in 2022, where he caught 50 passes for 778 yards and eight touchdowns.

Hudson could bolster a receiving corps that’s losing longtime staple Chris Autman-Bell to graduation and will have little depth outside of Daniel Jackson, who led the Gophers with 57 receptions for 831 yards and eight touchdowns.

Minnesota’s next leading receiver Corey Crooms, who caught 28 passes for 376 yards, will also be lost to graduation. The team's third leading pass-catcher, tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford, is graduating alongside Crooms and Autman-Bell.
