Whoever is throwing passes for the Gophers next season will have Daniel Jackson to look for in 2024. Jackson, Minnesota's leading receiver in 2023, announced Sunday that he will return for his senior season.

Just like running back Darius Taylor II said on Saturday, Jackson is returning with the support of Dinkytown Athletics, the NIL collective that helps bring sponsors and pay to student-athletes.

"Thank you Gopher fans for all the love and support," Jackson wrote. "Thank you to the coaching staff, my family, and my teammates who have helped me become who I am today. With that being said I have decided to come back for another year with Dinkytown Athletes."

With the Quick Lane Bowl against Bowling Green yet to come, Jackson in 2023 has racked up 57 catches for 831 yards and eight touchdowns. He is one of the leading receivers in the Big Ten this season.

  • Receptions: 4th
  • Receiving yards: 3rd
  • Receiving touchdowns: 3rd

He did that despite playing in one of the nation's worst passing offenses. The Gophers averaged just 153 passing yards per game, good for 123rd of 130 teams in the FBS.
