Will 4-star Koi Perich make Gophers commitment official on Dec. 20?

Top-ranked Minnesota recruit in 2024 class will sign at his high school on Dec. 20.

Will Koi Perich make his commitment to Minnesota official next week? Or will the top-ranked recruit in Minnesota’s 2024 class flip to Ohio State?

Perich, a four-star safety, will make his decision official at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, when he’ll sign his National Letter of Intent at the Esko High School auditorium, he announced Thursday on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Perich verbally committed to Minnesota in April, but that was before offers came in from Ohio State, Florida State and Southern Cal.

He visited Ohio State over the weekend and then canceled an upcoming visit to Florida State, likely making his decision between the Buckeyes and Gophers.

Ohio State recruiting analyst Matt Parker predicted that Perich would flip his commitment to the Buckeyes shortly after his weekend visit.

Perich is the No. 3 safety in the country and No. 53 recruit overall in the 2024 class, according to On3. 247Sports has him as the No. 85 overall recruit.
