The Gophers added a fourth arm to their quarterback room late Wednesday night.

Jeremiah Finaly, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback from Los Alamitos, California, will join the program this fall the recruit. Finaly announced on social media that he'll join the U of M as a preferred walk-on.

This past high school football season, Finaly threw for 1,625 yards with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. It was his first season as a starting quarterback at the varsity level.

Finaly is rated as a two-star recruit by 247Sports and the 200th-ranked QB in the nation in the Class of 2024.

He will join a Gophers QB room that has been overhauled this winter.

Athan Kaliakmanis, who started every regular season game for Minnesota in 2023, left for Rutgers in December. Former University of New Hampshire quarterback Max Brosmer transferred to the U after three successful seasons playing in the FCS and he is projected as Minnesota's starter in 2024.

Highly-touted freshman Drake Lindsey, who was recently named the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year, could be the backup as a true freshman while 2023 redshirt freshman Max Shikenjanski could serve as the third-string QB.
