Did You Notice?

Former Mississippi State baseball player Ryan Duffy tragically passed away from a complication of his paralysis. He was just 37-years-old. Duffy redshirted his first year in 2006, but played for the Bulldogs as a catcher or designated hitter through 2010. His best game was perhaps in his final season, when tallied three home runs against Jackson State.

  • Women's basketball forward Jessika Carter was selected as the SEC Co-Player of the Week
  • Football head coach Jeff Lebby acquired his new strength and conditioning staff
    • Head strength and conditioning coach: Shaud Williams
    • Assistant strength and conditioning coaches: Erich Anthony, Jarwarski Beckum (also director of speed), Christian Buchanan, David Underwood
  • Lebby elevated David Wilczewski to Associate Athletics Director for Football Administration

Daily Dose of Mike Leach:

“We waste a lot of time with that, and then we worry about the Kardashians. How can it be that we laugh about England's obsession with the royal family? At least the royal family has college degrees and military service." — Mike Leach on Deflategate
