How To Watch: Mississippi State Baseball versus Southern Miss
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are on a five-game winning streak but now face their toughest test. Southern Miss is a solid mid-major program, and the Golden Eagles have made back-to-back Super Regionals for the first time in the program's history.
An in-state matchup is always significant, especially in Mississippi, the home of three proud baseball programs. It will also be the first game against MSU as a head coach for former USM pitching coach Christian Ostrander.
The Bulldogs will send Miami transfer Karson Ligon, who has struggled this season, on the mound. The key for the Bulldogs will be to get the lead early and let Ligon and the bullpen pitch with a lead.
Another key for the Bulldogs will be to continue getting production from the bottom of their order. MSU needs to continue this newfound momentum they have.
