Mississippi State Baseball defeats Georgia Southern 10-2
STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi State Bulldogs secured their second series win today with a 10-2 win over Georgia Southern at Dudy Noble Field. This was a much-needed win for MSU after an embarrassing 11-4 loss yesterday.
The Bulldogs got a good start from the sophomore Jurrangelo Cijnte, who went five innings and struck out seven while only allowing a run. A pair of Bulldog hitters did well today as Amani Larry and David Mershon combined for six hits and drove in three runs.
Mississippi State will be back in action Tuesday at 3 p.m. CT against Jackson State on SEC Network+
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are looking to bounce back and win a series after an 11-4 defeat yesterday. Yesterday was not a good day for the Bulldogs as the Eagles jumped out to a 4-0 lead early and never relinquished the lead.
This season is quickly spiraling out of control for MSU head coach Chris Lemonis. Mississippi State needs to win this series, or there will be some serious talks on Monday.

Tyler Davis will take over for MSU on the mound.
