Mississippi State's 2024 baseball schedule has now been officially set.

The Southeastern Conference revealed the Bulldogs' conference schedule on Sept. 13, setting in stone the team's 56-game regular season that features 35 home dates at Dudy Noble Field.

From the press release:

"The Bulldogs will play a home SEC series against LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and Missouri, along with a 12-game homestand to open the season highlight the upcoming campaign.

The Bulldogs start the year with a dozen straight games at Dudy Noble Field, with opening day set for Friday, Feb. 16, against the Air Force Academy to begin a three-game weekend series. Following a pair of midweek games against Austin Peay, State hosts Georgia Southern for three games from Feb. 23-25. Following that three-game series, the Dawgs host Jackson State for a midweek contest on Feb. 27 before closing out the homestand with a three-game set against Mount St. Mary's, which will be held from Thursday through Saturday (Feb. 29 – March 2). Instate foe Southern Miss will meet the Bulldogs at Trustmark Park in Pearl on March 5. This will be the first game outside of The Dude for MSU. Mississippi State returns for a three-game set against Evansville on March 8-10. MSU's final two games before league play come at MGM Park in Biloxi. State takes on South Alabama on March 12 and New Orleans on March 13. This is the third straight season the Dawgs have played in Biloxi. Then SEC action arrives. Defending National Champion LSU stands as MSU's first conference opponent. The Bulldogs and Tigers will tangle in Starkville from March 15-17.

After dropping the first game of the series last year, the Dawgs won the final two over the team that eventually won the national crown, including coming from nine runs down in the third and final game of the set. The Dawgs close out a four-game homestand on March 19 when they host Memphis in a midweek action. Beginning on March 22, the Bulldogs hit the road for seven straight games, starting with a three-game series at SEC opponent Texas A&M.

The road trip continues with a midweek tilt with Samford in Birmingham before State heads to Gainesville to take on Florida from March 29-31. A five-game homestand kicks off with a midweek contest against Central Arkansas on April 2 before MSU welcomes Georgia to The Dude for a three-game series on April 5-7. This will be the first trip to Starkville for Georgia since 2019 when State swept UGA. The homestand concludes with a midweek game against UAB on April 9. The Bulldogs renew their rivalry with Ole Miss the following weekend as they head north to Oxford.

The three-game series will kick off on Friday, April 12, at Swayze Field. The Dawgs have won seven consecutive series against the Rebels. On April 16, the Dawgs host Alcorn State in a midweek contest before hosting Auburn in SEC action from April 19-21. The last time the Tigers visited The Dude, the Dawgs came away with a series victory. The following five games will be played away from The Dude, starting with a midweek tilt with Memphis on April 23.

April closes out with MSU heading to the Music City to face Vanderbilt in a three-game set from April 26-28. This will be State's first trip to Nashville since 2021, then the Dawgs and Rebels will be playing for the Governor's Cup in Pearl on May 1st. Two of the three final weekend series will occur at Dudy Noble Field, starting with a three-game home set against Alabama, which is set for May 3-5.

Last season, the Dawgs won the series in Tuscaloosa when they came away with an 8-4 victory in the third game. Mississippi State will kick off its final SEC road series on May 10 when the Dawgs travel to take on Arkansas in a three-game set in Fayetteville.

State's final four regular-season games are all at home. The Bulldogs wrap up non-conference play with a May 14 game against North Alabama, then close out the schedule with a series against Missouri from May 16-18. This will be the Tigers' first trip to Starkville since the 2021 season.

The schedule is subject to change for television, including the possible move of some conference series to start on Thursdays.

The SEC Tournament will be held at the Hoover Met in Hoover, Alabama, from May 21-26. The NCAA Tournament will follow in the month of June."
