Mississippi State Baseball Shuts Out Mount St. Mary 6-0

The Bulldogs get their first sweep of the year.

STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi State Bulldog complete the sweep of the Mountaineers with a 6-0 win. Jurrangelo Cijntje was fantastic today for MSU as he went 6.2 innings and struck out 10.

Even in his last inning of work, the sophomore was still hitting 96 MPH with his fastball. The Bulldog middle infield also played well as David Mershon and Dylan Cupp.

Mississippi State will be back in action Tuesday in Pearl against Southern Miss at 6 p.m. CT there is no broadcast scheduled at this time.

Top of the 9th

MSU will bring in Tyson Hardin.

Hardin gets a strikeout for the first out.

Cupp fields it cleanly, and makes the throw for the second out.

Last time out, Bulldogs: Mississippi State blew out Jackson State 19-6 on Tuesday night. MSU got a much-need win; a 13-run fifth inning was the difference.
