Mississippi State Drops Game Two to Austin Peay 13-10

MSU drops their second straight game to Austin Peay.

STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi State Bulldogs drop their second straight mid-week game 13-10 to Austin Peay. The Bulldogs put up ten runs, but only on six hits, and left 13 runners on base.

The MSU pitching staff had their worst night of the year, allowing 13 runs on 16 hits. The only way to describe this loss is embarrassing, as the Bulldogs fail to play fundamental baseball and cannot get a big hit.

The Bulldogs fall to 2-3 on the season, which is a disaster start for MSU considering their weak non-conference schedule and very formidable conference schedule. The Bulldogs road to the postseason just got even more challenging.

Mississippi State will be back in action Friday at four p.m. CT as they host Georgia Southern for a three-game series.
