NCAA Baseball Rankings: How Mississippi State's Upset of LSU Affected Other Teams

What the final week of the season will look like with new rankings and how the series this past weekend changed the list.

When the Top 25 College Baseball Rankings were updated this week, there was some shakeup to be had.

The Southeastern Conference put seven teams in the standings and had some shifts, especially with Mississippi State winning the series against an LSU Tigers team that was ranked No. 2 in the nation heading into last weekend.

With the pair of losses to the Bulldogs, the Tigers fell from No. 2 to No. 5. This loss was shocking to LSU after they were 2-for-2 in the series before.

LSU has one more chance to claim its position in the top three on Tuesday when it plays McNeese before playing its last SEC game at Georgia.

Also notable in the SEC, Vanderbilt dropped to No. 12 after No. 4 Florida beat the Commodores, 22-3 in a three-game sweep.
