Full Game Recap: Mississippi State Women's Basketball Versus Florida
The Mississippi State Bulldogs saw their five-game winning streak come to an end against Florida at Humphrey Coliseum. MSU committed 20 turnovers and shot just allowed the Gators to shoot 35-58 from the field.
Those stats are a recipe for a disaster, and a disaster is what ensued as the Bulldogs dropped a game to a team they beat 89-77 earlier this season. MSU will be back in action next Sunday at Ole Miss.

1st Quarter
MSU wins the tip and we are underway.
Carter is fouled but misses both free throws.
MSU is making feeding the post a priority as Carter and Barnum have attempted every shot for the Bulldogs except one. MSU trails 7-4.
Gators continue to beat MSU down the floor for easy buckets.
Carter is down after being fouled. It is silent inside The Hump.
Carter is back on her feet as she walks slowly to the bench with some assistance.
Rogers will shoot for Carter, and she sinks both shots. MSU trails 9-8.
Eight of the Gator, 11 points have come inside the paint.
Florida continues to get to the rim as they are fouled. UF leads 12-8.
MSU is off to a slow start in this one, and they are struggling to stay in front of driving Gators. Florida will be at the line after the media break.
A three-pointer goes for the Gators. MSU trails 15-8.
MSU gets a steal but immediately commits their fifth turnover and the Gators responded with a three.
That was an ugly first quarter for the Bulldogs as they shot 4-12 from the field while allowing the Gators to go 9-12. Carter is back on the sidelines for MSU, and riding a medical bike. MSU trails 26-15 at the end of the first quarter. Barnum is leading the Bulldogs with seven points.
2nd Quarter
Gators make a tough shot to open the quarter. Carter checks back in for the Bulldogs and receives a loud ovation.
Park-Lane works her way into the paint and makes a short jumper. MSU trails 30-17.
The Bulldogs are trying some full-court pressure to try to slow down the Gators in transition.
Barnum shows some impressive footwork and scores. She is up to nine points. MSU is struggling to stop the Gators on defense as they hit their fourth three. MSU trails 37-21.
A nice pass by Park-Lane leads to a Jordan bucket underneath.
The Gators remain perfect from three-point range as they are now 5-5. MSU trails 42-23.
Sheppard gets a steal and a bucket. However, the Gators respond with their sixth three-pointer.
An ugly first half comes to an end for the Bulldogs. MSU has allowed way too many easy looks for the Gators around the rim leading to 20 points in the paint for Florida. The Bulldog offense has struggled as well as they shot 12-30 in the first half. MSU trails 50-32 going into halftime.
3rd Quarter
Gators start the scoring in the second half with a tough reverse layup.
Carter finishes at the rim after a lob pass. MSU trails 56-36. The Bulldogs can not buy a stop right now.
The Bulldogs are showing signs of life after a Gony corner three.
MSU is rallying as they currently are on a 7-0 run. The Bulldogs trail 56-43 going into the media break.
The Bulldog turnovers are costly right now as two straight turnovers led to four points for the Gators.
Carter is fouled and she goes 1-2. MSU trails 60-46.
Jordan hits a three and ignites this crowd and Purcell is fired up on the bench.
The Bulldogs played better in the third quarter cutting the lead down to 11 at one point, but the Gators always responded. MSU wins the third quarter 19-17, but still trail 67-51.
4th Quarter
The Gators hit their ninth three. MSU is running out of time for a comeback.
Rogers hits a three she is up to ten points. MSU trails 73-58.
Rogers sinks a pair of free throws to trim the Gator lead to 13. The Bulldogs are still in this, but need to play good defense down the stretch.
Carter finishes at the rim and Purcell will take a timeout. MSU trails 75-62.
Rogers throws it away trying to feed Barnum. MSU has 19 turnovers.
Turnovers and failing to make critical stops have cost the Bulldogs as they trail 79-64 with 2:44 remaining.
The Gators hit their 11th three and that could be the dagger.
Gators lead 84-66 with 90 seconds remaining.
MSU loses to Florida 90-70.
