Just A Bulldog Minute: How This Week’s Matchups Will Affect Men’s Basketball
The Mississippi State men’s basketball team is sitting on a tied record, going 6-6 in SEC play, and this week, MSU has two games that could make their SEC record go three different ways.
This week, the Bulldogs will face the Ole Miss Rebels at 8 p.m. CT Wednesday and travel to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CT.
However, here’s the question for the end of the week: Where will Mississippi State stand after these matchups?
The team has already seen a loss to one of the opponents, but this week, MSU has the advantage of playing Ole Miss at home. With such a narrow defeat, the extra film may be just what the Bulldogs need.
LSU has struggled all year, but MSU has not played well on the road this season, so the Bulldogs cannot take the Tigers for granted.
Mississippi State will come out of the week with two new victories or two new losses or could keep the tie as it is.
With victories over Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Georgia, Missouri, and Arkansas already under the belt, the Bulldogs would love to add their rival and, the Tigers to that list.
