Just A Bulldog Minute: The Penultimate Game For The Men’s Basketball Team

The Bulldogs are in College Station to try and get a road quad-one victory as tournament season is here.

STARKVILLE, Miss - The Mississippi State Bulldogs are on the road looking to win their final road game of the season against Texas A&M.

While the Aggies record sits at 16-13 and 7-9 in conference play, their NET rating has them as a quad-one team and a victory against them would only boost the resume for MSU.

That resume includes No. 18 Washington State, No. 13 Auburn, and No. 4 Tennessee. Winning against A&M and following that by defeating No. 17 South Carolina would only solidify their bid into the dance.

It must come from the defensive effort that head coach Chris Jans has been turning to over the past few games. Star freshman Josh Hubbard is also averaging close to 29 points over his last three games and should have a major impact on this game.

The keys for the Bulldogs are to limit turnovers, stay out of foul trouble, and make free throws. These three things have been the kryptonite all season long for the Bulldogs and having control of these issues should ensure victory for Mississippi State.

It is march and the SEC tournament starts March 13, and soon following will be selection Sunday were the Bulldogs will be look to have a bid in the NCAA tournament for the second straight year.
