Mississippi State men's basketball is on a roll and staying hot -- something the Bulldogs made loudly clear with Saturday's 70-64 road victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks.

With that, the Bulldogs improve to an overall record of 17-8, improving 5-7 in conference play. They also ride a five game winning streak.

Dashawn Davis was the leading scorer on the day with a team-high 17 points, while Shakeel Moore put up 12, Tolu Smith added 11 and Cameron Matthews came up with 10.

Fromthe bench, MSU had a combined 11 points between the efforts of Will McNair Jr. and Shawn Jones, Jr. with a 3-point shot from Eric Reed Jr. as well that ultimately made a huge difference.

Bulldogs head coach Chris Jans and select players met with the media following the action.

"Just proud of my kids," Jans told reporters. "I've heard all about [Bud Walton Arena]. I'd never been to a game here. I'd been to AAU events here a long, long time ago, but obviously it's a great venue to compete in. And [the win] felt really good."

Bulldogs standout Tolu Smith spoke to the confidence a win like this one instilled in the team.

"This feels amazing," Smith said. "I'm so happy we got this win. It's a Quad 1 win, so it's a great feeling for us. It was a great opportunity we had, and we just accomplished it."
