Dak Prescott Shares How 'Brother' Ezekiel Elliott Will Help The New England Patriots

Former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott recently weighed in on how close former teammate Ezekiel Elliott will help the Patriots offense.

The dynamic duo of quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott made their way to the Dallas Cowboys in 2016, now parting ways ahead of the 2023 season after Elliott was released by the Cowboys.

The two have played in over 75 games alongside one another after Elliott was selected at No. 4 overall and Prescott came off the board later as a fourth-rounder, but now the rusher will share backfield with the New England Patriots instead.

And Prescott could not be more confident in how much he believes Elliott will contribute to the offense.

“That’s a brother well beyond this football field; I know he’s going to help that team,” Prescott said of Elliott in a report from Mike Reiss of ESPN. “Talk about being a great teammate, a professional, there’s not many better than Zeke that I’ve seen in my time … and love his new haircut. He looks younger.”

Though the deal was met with some distaste from some on social media, the rusher who has been named to the Pro Bowl three times now may prove to be a bigger asset than expected.

Elliott finished out the 2022 season with 876 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 231 carries.
