Multiple Mississippi State Football Players Enter the Transfer Portal
Since the conclusion of Mississippi State football spring practices, there has been a slow trickle of players headed to the transfer portal. Within the last week, two kickers and a wide receiver joined the mix.
First, the two redshirt freshmen -- Hudson Hollenbeck and Jordan Kennedy -- entered the portal and then later in the week, redshirt freshman wide receiver Kaydin Pope entered as well. Each of them have four years of eligibility remaining for whichever school they land with.
State brought in a transfer kicker this offseason, Ethan Chang who committed early last week. The Bulldogs also got UCLA transfer Nick Barr-Mira in January and he along with Chang will have two more years of eligibility. With the absences of Massimo Biscardi and Ben Raybon, Barr-Mira and Chang will compete for the starting kicker's spot.
Last season, Pope played in one game against East Tennessee, tallying three receptions for 23 yards. He became the fourth State wideout to enter the portal in the offseason, right behind Rara Thomas, Christian Ford, and Marquez Dortch.
