Mississippi State WR Caleb Ducking Enters the Transfer Portal
Mississippi State wide receiver Caleb Ducking has entered the transfer portal, sources familiar with the situation tell The Athletic and On3 Sports.
Despite initially declaring for the NFL Draft around a month ago, Ducking has decided to use his sixth year of eligibility by taking his talents elsewhere. He spent two seasons at Holmes Community College before transferring to Mississippi State's football program in 2020.
Coming out of junior college, Ducking was a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He redshirted in his first year at Mississippi State before making his Bulldog debut in 2021, recording only nine catches and 83 yards under head coach Mike Leach.
Ducking recorded 46 catches for 477 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 10.4 yards per attempt on the 2022 season.
Ducking was also popular among MSU fans for his waddle celebration in the end zone after scoring a touchdown, with a notable example being during the team's 42-24 win over Texas A&M back in October of 2022.
Ducking will be a veteran offensive weapon from the SEC looking for a new place to play football.
