MVP Of The Game, Week 6: Mississippi State QB Will Rogers

Looking into which Mississippi State Football player stood out most in the team’s 41-28 win against Western Michigan.

Will Rogers continues to show why he is one of the best players on this MSU offense, despite some of the flack he has received in some of the woes adjusting to a new scheme under offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay.

He's been a prime factor in the outcomes of games this season -- win or lose -- and when he's on his top game, it usually results in a huge victory for the team.

Against Western Michigan (2-4), Rogers was surgical before an apparent shoulder injury that he suffered in the fourth quarter. He was 16-of-22 for 189 yards with 3 touchdowns.

Rogers showed accuracy on the deep ball, and he was quick with his throws, unlike the game against No. 12 Alabama. With the lead in hand, he returned to the sideline after he emerged from the locker room without a helmet or shoulder pads on and Mike Wright took the reins of the offense

Rogers continues to impress as he bounces back going into the bye week. He also moves up higher and higher among the all-time SEC quarterbacks in passing touchdowns.

He recently passed Peyton Manning for fourth all-time in that list with a current total of 92 passing touchdowns. Rogers has the chance to move into third place, surpassing Drew Lock’s number of 99 by the end of his senior season.
