See It: Mississippi State Football Welcomes Back Two Former Players In SEC Opener Against LSU

Two players who made an appearance at the first conference game for MSU to support their former team.

Week 3 presented a new challenge to Mississippi State football as the team had an opportunity make a statement against LSU, but ultimately fell flat with a 41-14 loss.

But there were some good things within the event itself, with SEC Nation making an appearance and some notable former players making their way to Starkville to cheer the Bulldogs on.

Those names included former MSU wide receiver Eric Moulds and running back Anthony Dixon.

Moulds was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills as the 24th overall pick in the 1996 NFL Draft and played 12 seasons in the league. After retiring from the sport in 2007, he became an athletic trainer for football players at all different levels of the sport.

During his career, Moulds gathered 9,995 receiving yards with 49 touchdowns and 163 rushing yards.

Dixon was selected by the San Fransisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFl Draft. During his time at MSU, Dixon started 29 out of the 37 games he played in and rushed 653 times for 2,603 yards with 30 touchdowns during his collegiate career.

Dixon holds multiple rushing records at MSU and his appearance at the game, along with Moulds, added plenty of energy to the already-exciting game day environment.
