Former Mississippi State Player Makes An Appearance During The Second Game Of The Season

Mississippi State football welcomed back a former legend.

After Week 1, Mississippi State showed how they've put in work during the off-season with a 48-7 domination against Southeastern Louisiana State. For Week 2, they came back even hungrier for a chance to beat Arizona University.

With an incredible turnout of fans, an appearance by a former player also added to the energetic environment in Davis Wade Stadium.

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. showed up to support the Bulldogs. Gay started six out of 31 career games during his time at Mississippi State and was the first 2020 draft-eligible linebacker to earn a 93.9 PFF coverage grade since 2017.

After being the 63rd overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Gay has been an excellent addition to the Chiefs and his willingness to come and watch Mississippi State shows that his support is still with the team that helped him get to where he is today.
