Mississippi State WR Lideatrick 'Tulu' Griffin Named To ESPN Preseason All-America Team
Mississippi State football players have continued to rack up honors throughout the 2023 preseason, and one of those is wide receiver/kick returner Lideatrick "Tulu" Griffin.
The latest recognition Griffin received was being named to the ESPN Preseason All-America Team on Thursday.
In 2022, Griffin led all of college football in kickoff return yards (32.3 yards per return on 19 kickoffs) while compiling 613 kickoff return yards with one return touchdown.
Over the course of eight out of 13 games last season, Griffin returned the kickoff for 30 yards or more. He also tied a career-high with 144 return yards and a touchdown in MSU's overtime win over Auburn and was named the SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week for the performance he put on during the contest.
He has recorded 1,333 kickoff return yards and two touchdowns in his career.
Expect Griffin to be a factor both on special teams and as a traditional wideout when the Bulldogs open up the schedule against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions on Sept. 2.
