6 SEC Teams Earn Spot In Coaches Poll Following Week 7

Several SEC teams earned recognition in the latest edition of the Coaches Poll following Week 7 action.

It has been several weeks since Mississippi State (3-3) has seen its name listed in any rankings where college football is concerned, but multiple of the Bulldogs' SEC colleagues have earned recognition in some of these like the Coaches Poll.

In the latest edition released, six teams from the conference were recognized, including the Georgia Bulldogs (No. 1), Alabama Crimson Tide (No. 8, tied with the Texas Longhorns), Ole Miss Rebels (No. 12), Tennessee Volunteers, LSU Tigers and the Missouri Tigers.

Of note:

- Georgia held strong at No. 1

- Alabama moved up two spots to jump to No. 8, tied with Texas, which will join the Crimson Tide in the SEC next year

- Ole Miss moved up a single spot to No. 12

- Tennessee moved up two spots to No. 15

- LSU jumped one spot to No. 19, whole Mizzou surged ahead five places to No. 20
