6 SEC Teams Named To AP Top 25 After Week 7
It has been some time since the Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-3) have seen the AP Top 25, in the midst of a lackluster season in which the team is continuing to figure things out under head coach Zach Arnett.
But multiple other SEC teams were represented when the latest edition of the AP Top 25 poll was released following Week 7 action.
They included Georgia (No. 1), Alabama (No. 11), Ole Miss (No. 13), Tennessee (No. 17), LSU (No. 19) and Missouri (No. 20).
With this, Georgia holds strong at the top spot in unsurprising fashion following a 37-20 road win over Vanderbilt, while Alabama also experiences no movement in the rankings following its close, 24-21 win over Arkansas.
Ole Miss did not see a change in its placement either after its open date, set to take on Auburn up next on Saturday.
Tennessee moved up two spots after its 20-13 win over Texas A&M, with Missouri staying put after a 38-21 victory over Kentucky away from home.
LSU jumped Mizzou and other teams by moving up three spots as the Tigers prepare to build upon a strong, 48-18 win over Auburn in Tiger Stadium.
