Around The SEC: New Tennessee Football Recruit Strengthens 2024 Class

One four-star recruit incredibly strengthened Tennessee's 2024 class.

Head coach Josh Heupel and his recruiters have been working tirelessly to put together an unstoppable top-15 recruiting class. On Tuesday, another player was added to this growing class of young athletes.

Out of Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, Jordan Burns is a 4-star linebacker eager to continue his sports career playing college football and the latest to pledge to the Vols.

After receiving offers from other SEC schools such as Arkansas and Vanderbilt as well as over 20 scholarship opportunities from all over the country, Burns decided to take the offer of being a Volunteer.

When his official commitment was announced over Twitter, the commit shared his gratitude towards Tennessee and the opportunity placed before him.

“It means the world to me. I know my family is proud of me. Especially my parents they would be so proud of me & my accomplishments.”

Jordan Burns is 6-foot-1.5 and 215 pounds and is ranked as the 34th linebacker recruit in the country as well as the No. 47 player out of Georgia.

Because of Burns, Tennessee is now ranked as the 13th nationally for their 2024 recruiting class. He was recruited by Brian Jean-Mary and announced his official commitment via Twitter on Tuesday.

His tweet read:

"DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!"

It's safe to say that Burns will be an excellent addition to the Volunteers, as well as another excellent player in the SEC.

His position will be incredibly vital to the team as they adjust to a new starting quarterback after quarterback Hendon Hooker was taken to the Detroit Lions during the 2023 NFL Draft.
