Trio of Mississippi State Football Prospects Invited to 2023 NFL Combine

Three Mississippi State football prospects were invited to the 2023 NFL Combine.

The 2023 NFL Combine will feature three former members of Mississippi State football

Out of the 319 prospects invited, the trio of cornerback Emmanuel Forbes, linebacker Tyrus Wheat and defensive lineman Cameron Young will be putting it all together in front of scouts to show just the type of talent that comes out of Starkville, Mississippi year in and year out.

For Forbes, a native of Grenada, Mississippi, it's no question that his skills have been showcased enough to be a part of this opportunity. With sharp sight and incredible speed, Forbes highlights the skills it takes to spot players and cut through holes to stop the offense from gaining yards. Some have him projected as highly as a first-round pick.

Young, another Mississippi native from Crosby, Mississippi, finished the season with 37 tackles and one sack. The combine will serve as a huge showcase for him as he looks to increase his draft stock and take the next step in his football career.

Wheat will also be one to watch after he posted 25 tackles, six sacks, and an interception this past season, declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft back in January, which came as a shock to no one.

It's no question that these men will be walking into Lucas Oil Stadium ready to show the scouts, managers, and NFL coaches the talent and skill that the Bulldogs have to offer.

With four former Bulldogs heading to the Super Bowl, all eyes will be on these three to see who the next special Bulldog is at the NFL level.
