'The Kindness Is So Contagious': Tim Tebow Praises Starkville, Mississippi State Football Environment
While Mississippi State (2-1) didn't get the outcome it wanted in the 41-14 loss to the LSU Tigers, there were still some positives to take away -- including the presence of SEC Nation with prominent figures like Tim Tebow in town.
Starkville, known for its sense of southern hospitality, received plenty of praise from the former Florida Gators quarterback.
"I love it. I think it's one of the best venues in the SEC. For all the years coming here, what is it 10 now?," Tebow told reporters.
"I think all the people here are just so sweet so genuine. From when we were leaving the hotel this morning to when we went to the keto friendly, gluten free bakery, they're so sweet... There's just such a sense of community, kindness, humility, and it's just contagious."
MSU, while not one of the most regularly talked about teams in the SEC by the national media, has garnered some attention for also having one of the most electric atmospheres in college football when Davis Wade Stadium is packed with cowbells in store.
The Bulldogs will head out of Starkville for the first time of the 2023 season on Saturday, set to face the South Carolina Gamecocks in Williams-Brice Stadium at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.
