Around The SEC: What Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban Had To Say About Week 2's Matchup Against Texas

Alabama head coach Nick Saban said he expects a "street fight" against Texas.

After taking home the win against Texas Longhorns last season with a 20-19 score in Austin, the Alabama Crimson Tide will face off against the team in a rematch Saturday.

This year, Alabama has a disadvantage without quarterback Bryce Young being at the head of the team, instead with a developing Jalen Milroe at the helm. Head coach Nick Saban is expecting something of a street fight.

“I told the players after today, ‘You better get ready for a street fight.' You’re gonna have to punch them. They’re gonna punch you,” said Nick Saban. “But it’s who can grind it out for 60 minutes in the game. Adversity breaks some people and makes some people break.”

Last week, Alabama showed excellence in its season opener after securing a win against Middle Tennessee State, 56-7. The Longhorns are also 1-0 after earning the victory against the Rice Owls 37-10. This week, one of two teams will have to give up their winning streak.

It will be interesting to see how things shake out as the game is set to kickoff at 6 PM and can be watched on ESPN.
