Mississippi State (4-3) got its first SEC victory of the 2023 college football season as the Bulldogs pulled off a 7-3 road victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-6) on Saturday.

Head coach Zach Arnett met with the media to recap the win and preview the the Bulldogs hope will be their next in the conference.
One of the things he gave an update on was the status of starting quarterback Will Rogers (shoulder), who was sidelined with an injury as former Vanderbilt transfer signal-caller Mike Wright assumed his position.
“Will’s progressing just like we expect. If he’s able to go, he’ll go. If not, he’s not,” Arnett said. “And that goes for any other guy on the team. We have several days to evaluate, see his progress in practice, and make a determination then.”
