When Mizzou basketball fans get up Tuesday morning, it'll have been 40 days since they've enjoyed a win against a Southeastern Conference opponent.

That's men and women, of course, the latter of which have the most recent victory, Jan. 18 against Georgia. The men are 0-14 this season, and the anniversary of the last win, against Tennessee in the 2023 SEC Tournament is coming up on March 10.

Combined they have a 23-game losing streak this season, which was extended Monday night when the women's team lost 66-45 to Ole Miss at Mizzou Arena. Senior guard Mama Dembele led the Tigers with 11 points, four steals and three rebounds, while freshman guard Grace Slaughter and sophomore guard Ashton Judd both scored 10 points.

However, Missouri was shut out from beyond the arc (0-for-7), and the 45 points scored matched a season low as the Tigers took their ninth-straight defeat.

Snudda Collins hit four 3-pointers to finish with a team-high 14 points, while Kennedy-Todd Williams and Madison Scott followed with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Ole Miss dominated on the boards, with 40, compared to 24 by the home team.

Granted, Ole Miss (20-7,10-4 SEC) is considered one of the better teams in the league, and is closing in on a top-four spot in the upcoming SEC Tournament bracket, but the 21-point victory was the Rebels' largest in program history over the Tigers.

Unless something changes, and quickly, both Missouri basketball teams are looking at finishing last in the regular-season standings, and being the worst-ranked team in the conference tournament.

The last program to do that was Vanderbilt in 2019. The men went winless in league play, 0-18 (9-23 overall), while the women were 2-14 (7-23).

With just a handful of games remaining, the Missouri men are 8-19 overall, while the women are 11-16 (2-12).

The women's team will host Vanderbilt on Thursday for Senior Day, and then wrap up the regular season at Mississippi State on Sunday. Both opponents are at .500 in league play and aiming to lock down spots in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
