Media Names Eliah Drinkwitz SEC Football Coach of the Year
Coach of the Year honors have been few and far between for the Missouri football program, but Eli Drinkwitz appears to be changing that.
Monday, the Associated Press named him the SEC Coach of the Year.
LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was the unanimous pick as Associated Press SEC offensive player of the year, while Mississippi State linebacker Nathaniel Watson was named defensive player of the year. Alabama freshman safety Caleb Downs was named the league's top newcomer.
Mizzou had five players tabbed All-SEC by the panel of votes, with two second-team selections.
