Luther Burden Absent from Practice

Luther Burden wasn't spotted today during the open to media sessions. He did not return punts or work with the wide receivers during individual sessions today. No reason for the absence was mentioned, nor is it any reason for concern. Theo Wease was fielding punts in Burden's absence.

Cayden Green led the offensive line through warmups

Incoming transfer from Oklahoma, Cayden Green, is already getting into the swing of things as a new member of the Tigers offensive line. Green is listed at 6'5 and over 300 pounds, but what may be more impressive than his stature is his ability to be a leader on and off the field for his team. Becoming a true-freshman captain for Oklahoma last season and already finding his spot among the offensive line.

All Five QB's Wearing Left Knee Braces

The Tigers are looking to take extra caution with the health of their QB room this year. After injuries to Brady Cook throughout the year last year, the team had braces on all five thrower's right legs. This is almost certainly a precautionary measure for the team and not injury related. Mizzou will hope to keep Cook in full health this year to build on his breakout season last year.

Former Player Makes an Appearance

Standout Tiger and future NFL linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper made an appearance at practice on Saturday. Standing on the sideline and watching drills take place, the former player embraced multiple current players and had a lengthy conversation with Eliah Drinkwitz during the open media availability session. For a team that thrives on culture and leadership, it won't be a surprise if we see more former player appearances.

Mookie Cooper Had Off-Season Thoughts of Transferring

When asked about his decision to come back for another year, Cooper responded with "I knew I gonna come back to college for sure, but to come back to Missouri..." Cooper would expand on his sentiment by adding "You gotta have the thought, but I always leaned more towards coming back here," when asked about thoughts of leaving Mizzou.

Johnny Walker Jr Will Be a 99 Overall Regardless

Multiple players were asked about their overalls and feelings towards the upcoming NCAA football game, and most were realistic. Though nobody kept it more real than Johnny Walker Jr who quickly quipped "Regardless, I'ma be a 99 on my system," before adding "I hope my speed isn't too low, thats what I'm worried about... At least 86 and up speed." Walker will be one of many Tigers in the game for its summer release.
