For the first time since 2017, Missouri has defeated Tennessee at Faurot Field. A record-breaking 321 total yards from Cody Schrader led Missouri in a dominant 36-7 victory.

Eli Drinkwitz

Missouri head coach

Opening statement: "I want to start off by thanking the fans for another unbelievable environment. Their energy was contagious to our football team and they fed off of each other all four quarters. (When Tennessee) missed that field goal, for our fans to be going crazy like that at the end was really special. I really appreciate them and I'm asking them to do it one more time, 'why stop now?', for Florida, for these seniors, for senior day, deserve to see that one more time and so we appreciate it if you could make your plans for next Saturday night to be here at Faurot Field. Really proud of our entire football team. All three phases came to play today."

On Cody Schrader's 321-Yard day:

"I don't know that there's more impressive performance than to rush for 205 yards and to receive 116 yards out the backfield... Really proud of him."

"He's just so gritty. He's got a stubborn refusal to quit. He does get really big, lower halves. I mean, he's just a butcher ball of muscle. He has got great instincts short area, great quickness."

On why the team is tough when facing adversity:

"Can't kill us. We've already been killed. We've been at the bottom, I mean we were in hell last year, losing some of those games the way we did. They don't get much worse than that. So this team just said that 'you can't kill us. We'll fight our way out and we'll fight for each other.'"

"We just wanted to whip their butts and score points."

On defense's performance:

"They held Tennessee to the lowest point total in I think since he's (Josh Heupel) been here ... they're the number one rushing offense in the SEC. We held them to 83 yards ... Obviously that pick-six at the end was really impressive by Daylan Carnell and overall just defensively, the way they played was unbelievable.

Josh Heupel

Tennessee head coach

"Give credit to Missouri, they played well. Really disappointed in the performance of our football team. Didn't like the way we finished the ball game. We didn't play smart enough, good enough, early in the ball game to win this one. Line of scrimmage was the stark difference, said it early in the week that would be a pivotal part of the football game. They we're able to run the football, we weren't. Offensively, we didn't have the efficiency that you need to go and score points ... Disappointing."
