COLUMBIA, Mo. — In an electric win, Missouri wrestling defeated Wyoming 40-6. The Tigers only dropped one match Friday evening.

The win improved the Tiger's record against the Cowboys to 9-2 all-time in dual matches.

No. 14 redshirt junior Noah Surtin (125) opened the dual against No. 10 Wyoming sophomore Jore Volk. Surtin kept the match moving and attacked more compared to his previous outing.

Last week, Surtin noted in the post-dual press conference that he wanted to work on being more offensive in the next dual. He did just that and defeated Volk 7-4.

Following Surtin, redshirt freshman Kade Moore (133) defeated Wyoming graduate Cooper Birdwell 8-3. Following Moore, redshirt freshman Owen Uhls (141) fell to Wyoming freshman Cole Brooks by pin at 2:40 in the first period.

At 149 pounds, redshirt sophomore Nate Pulliam was matched up against No. 14 Wyoming redshirt sophomore Gabe Willochell.

Pulliam trailed in the first few minutes of the first period 5-1 until he scored two takedowns and a four-point near fall to put him in the lead 10-7 to end the period.

In the third period, Pulliam expanded his lead to defeat Willochell in a major decision, 21-10. The match was Pulliam's first start of the season.

To continue the excitement in the Hearnes, No. 4 redshirt senior Brock Mauller (157) defeated Wyoming redshirt junior Cooper Voorhees by technical fall, 20-4, heading into intermission.

Following intermission, No. 1 Keegan O'Toole (165), No. 5 Peyton Mocco (174), No. 6 Clayton Whiting (184), No. 3 Rocky Elam (197) and No. 5 Zach Elam (285) all won their matches to solidify the Tiger's win.

Missouri will return to the mat against Air Force at the Hearnes Center on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 1 p.m. CST. Fans at home can watch the dual on FloWrestling.
