The first game of the 2019-20 basketball season is still more than a month away, but already NC State has suffered a potentially big setback.

Coach Kevin Keatts announced Monday that redshirt junior big man D.J. Funderburk has been suspended indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules.

The 6-foot-10, 210-pound forward, who started his college career at Ohio State, averaged 8.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game with 38 blocked shots while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor in his first season with the Wolfpack last year.
