Junior point guard Blake Harris has left the NC State basketball team for personal reasons, according to a one-sentence statement issued by the school's athletic communications office on Thursday.

Harris averaged 3.1 points, 1.5 assists and 9.5 minutes per game last season while appearing in 30 of the Wolfpack's 36 games. He came to State after spending his freshman season at Missouri, where he started nine of 14 games before deciding to transfer.

A 6-foot-3 native or Chapel Hill, Harris was not expected to play a significant role for State this season playing behind preseason All-ACC senior Markell Johnson and several others including junior Braxton Beverly and freshman Chase Graham.

Harris' final appearance in a Wolfpack uniform came last Friday night at the team's Prime Time with the Pack event. He participated in the slam dunk contest, missing on both of his attempts.
